Overview
Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine is erected on a plateau where the Tama Hills protrudes in contact with the alluvial lowlands along the Nara River in Naracho. The shrine forest is mainly mixed with evergreen forests such as fir, Japanese white oak and Japanese blue oak, and also grows in wild cherry tree, Kumaside and konara oak. It is characterized by a mixture of the Japanese white oak forest, which is a mixture of fir that has developed widely on a flood plateau in the Kanto region, and the main constituent species of the sawtooth oak to konara oak forest.
