Hen history / origin

A town newly established from a part of Ondacho with the enforcement of the land readjustment project in 1971. In the old days, it was Onda Village, Tsuzuki County. When the municipal system was enforced in 1889, it merged with Nara Village and Nagatsuda Village to become Tana Village Oaza Onda. Transferred from Midori Ward following the reorganization of administrative districts in 1994. The street name is Tana Station on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line, and the name of Tana is familiar, and it was named "Tanacho" at the request of the local community. "Tana" is a combination of "Tada" of "Onda, Nagatsuta" and "Nara".
