Traditional performing arts in Asahi Ward

Introducing traditional performing arts that have a long history in Asahi Ward and their organizations. Currently, seven groups are active in Asahi Ward, with one group for Chigogei, one for Nenbutsugei, and five for Matsuribayashi. Both have continued since the Edo and Meiji eras, and play an important role in the local history and culture.
