Information on Self-Defense Fire Service Training

• Self-defense firefighting business New course: The first course to obtain a certificate of completion of self-defense firefighting training course
• Self-defense fire service retraining: Courses to be re-taken within 5 years from the first April 1 after the date of taking the self-defense firefighting training course

• Those who live in Yokohama City and plan or are engaged in any of the following 1-3 duties

　Or

• Person who is going to engage in any of the following duties 1-3 in building in Yokohama-shi or is engaged

1. General Manager of Self-Defense Fire Organization
2. Person who becomes group leader of each duties of self-defense firefighting organization
3. Person who becomes member of disaster prevention center to prescribe in Yokohama-shi fire prevention regulations Article 68-2

Applicable to the following applications and scales.

1. All uses other than apartment houses, hangars, etc. and warehouses
2. Fire protection objects with a total floor area of 11 or more and a total area of 10,000 square meters or more
3. Fire protection objects with a floor number of 5 or more and 10 or less, and fire protection objects with a total area of 20,000 square meters or more
4. Fire protection objects with a floor area of 4 or less and a total area of 50,000 square meters or more
5. Underground shopping malls with a total area of 1,000 square meters or more

※In the case of multi-purpose applications, the scale excluding apartment houses, hangars, etc. and warehouse parts

• Self-defense firefighting business re-training 20,000 yen

※ The tuition fee is tax-free.
※ Since it is tax-exempt, we do not respond to the invoice system.

Payment method consists of payment form payment and cashless payment.
※ If you are applying on the Internet, you can choose either method.
※ In the case of application at window of fire department, it becomes "payment notice payment".

• If you wish to cancel the course, please contact us at least 2 weeks before the date of the course.
• If you cancel for your own convenience, the tuition fee will not be refunded.
• We will not be able to change the course date, so please cancel the course you have already applied for and apply again on another schedule.

All courses will be held at Fire Academy, Yokohama City.

Day 1: From 8:50 to 17:10 (reception starts: from 8:30)
Day 2: From 9:20 to 16:30 (reception starts: from 9:00)

From 8:50 to 15:00 (reception starts: from 8:30)

※ Please note that cannot enter the class venue when it is past the start time of the class.
※ There is a lunch break for 1 hour on the way. There are no restaurants or convenience stores around the training venue.
　 Please prepare your own lunch in advance.
※ Lunch will not be provided from the venue cafeteria from 2024.

　For those who have already been trained in both the new class A fire prevention management course and the new course for disaster prevention management (including the combined course)
　You can exempt duplicate courses (7 hours) of the "New Self-Defense Fire Service Business Course".
　However, please note that the tuition fee and effect measurement are not exempted.

If you wish to be exempted, please show a certificate of completion to prove your qualification when applying for the course.
（１） If you are applying from the Internet, please send the image data such as a certificate of completion to e-mail ([email protected]) after applying.
（２） If you are applying at the fire department window, please bring a certificate of completion at the time of application and present it to the window.

• Please bring your attendance slip, original or copy of the receipt (in the case of cashless payment, payment completion screen) and writing utensils for the course.

• There is no parking lot at the training venue, so please use public transportation.
• Please note that it is necessary to take a continuous two-day course for the “New Self-Defense Fire Service Business Course”.
• There are practical skills such as fire extinguishing training, so please prepare towels and participate in clothes that do not interfere with.

• There are no restaurants or convenience stores around the training venue, so please prepare your own lunch in advance.

• There is no trash can at the training venue, so please take your trash such as lunch boxes home with you.
