About the present situation of landfill, Shinanomachi, Totsuka-ku

Last updated on January 29, 2025.

1 Prevention of the spread of groundwater contamination

(1) Progress

In-house sewage pumping wells (water pumping wells) have been installed to pump up sewage staying in the site and contaminated groundwater pumping wells (barrier wells) to pump up sewage leaking outside the site. Currently, the water pumped from these wells is treated at a leachate treatment facility and then discharged to the sewer.

(2) Monitoring of water quality, etc.

  • Water quality measurement results for FY2024

Groundwater Group A (contamination point), in-house sewage group E (pumped well) (Excel: 53KB)
Groundwater C Group (other than contamination points) (Excel: 23KB)
In-house sewage D group (observation well) (Excel: 23KB)

  • No abnormalities have been confirmed for living wells within 1 km of the disposal site.

2. Construction to prevent the collapse of piled waste

About setting of earth retaining (deep foundation wall) and shaping construction of steep slope part which we carried out from 2009, we were completed at the end of October, 2014.
