Yokohama city center function guidance district building regulations

• In accordance with the change in the area of the Yokohama International Port Construction Project Special Use Area “Yokohama City Center Function Guidance Area”, etc., the commentary has been revised one by one (R6.7.22).

　In the city center of the city, the working population is decreasing in the harsh environment surrounding business and commerce, while housing development is rapidly increasing and the resident population is increasing. . As a result, the balance between the working population and the resident population has been disrupted, and central functions such as business and commerce have been reduced.
　Based on this situation, in fiscal 2004, we established the Committee on the Study of Urban Center Functions in Central Yokohama, which includes academic experts and others, to examine the ideal way of urban center functions. Based on the recommendations from this committee, Article 49 and Article 50 of the Building Standards Law are to limit the use and floor area ratio of buildings in the city center with the aim of guiding buildings with functions appropriate for the city center. Ordinance based on Article has been established.
　In addition, the provisions of this Ordinance are applied in the "Yokohama City Center Function Guidance District" specified as a special use district prescribed in Article 8 of the City Planning Act.
