The private kindergarten custody childcare business (hereinafter referred to as the “city-type custody childcare business”) and the private kindergarten 2-year-old child acceptance promotion business (hereinafter referred to as the “2-year-old child acceptance business”) utilizes the education and childcare resources of kindergartens to provide childcare. It is a very important business in Yokohama City's waiting-list child measures that provide long-term childcare for children who need it.
In Yokohama City, from 2020, we started a kindergarten teacher's housing allowance subsidy project for kindergartens that carry out a city-type custody childcare business or a 2-year-old child acceptance business. The kindergarten teacher's housing allowance subsidy subsidizes a part of the kindergarten teachers who work in the kindergarten live in the rental housing and the kindergarten provides housing allowance to the staff. We support securing human resources in kindergarten by assisting a part of the housing allowance to be paid to kindergarten teachers.
