In light of the occurrence of accidents involving the fire extinguisher ruptured during the operation and disposal of the aging fire extinguisher, the fire extinguisher standards (*1) were revised and safety precautions were required. At the same time, the revision of fire extinguisher's inspection standards (*2) made it necessary to conduct pressure-resistant performance inspections.

Outline of the revision of the Ordinance of the Ministry of Standards (enforced on January 1, 2011)
- It is mandatory to display items related to safe handling at the time of use, items related to appropriate installation locations for maintenance, and items related to inspection.
- The old standard fire extinguisher had to be replaced by December 31, 2021. If you haven't replaced it yet, we ask you to replace it immediately. fire extinguisher, which is installed in detached houses, can be installed under proper maintenance and management (however, be aware of the useful life and expiration date indicated by the manufacturer.) 。
- The old standard fire extinguisher will not be sold after January 1, 2012, but if the old standard fire extinguisher is sold (including leases), please do not purchase it.
How to easily identify the new standard fire extinguisher
In the new standard commercial fire extinguisher, the indication of the applicable fire has been changed to a new one.

In the case of pressurized fire extinguisher, it is necessary to implement those that have passed three years from the year of manufacture as before.
- Even if 3 or 5 years have not passed, if an abnormality is found in the safety plug etc. during the fire extinguisher exterior inspection, the internal and function of fire extinguisher will be required.
- Excluding fire extinguisher carbon dioxide and fire extinguisher halogenide.
In the inspection of the outer shape of fire extinguisher or fire extinguisher, 10 years after the year of manufacture, it is necessary to check the pressure resistance performance of the main body container.
- Excludes those that have not passed 3 years since the pressure resistance performance inspection was conducted.
- Excluding fire extinguisher carbon dioxide and fire extinguisher halogenide.
