Notice of revision of laws and regulations

Due to the revision of the Fire Service Law (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Ordinance No. 93 of 2009), the emergency power supply of the guide light should be more than the capacity that the guide light can operate for 60 minutes (hereinafter referred to as the "60-minute response guide light"). Fire protection objects or their parts have been expanded.
In addition, on October 1, 1999, it was necessary to install a 60-minute guide light for fire prevention objects that had been exempted from installing a 60-minute guide light.
Target objects
Fire protection objects listed in the Fire Services Act Enforcement Ordinance (hereinafter referred to as “Ordinance”) Attached Table 1 (1) to (16), one of the following:
- Total area of 50,000 square meters or more
- The number of floors excluding the basement is 15 or more, and the total area is 30,000 square meters or more
Fire protection objects listed in Paragraph 1 (16-2) of the Annex Table, with a total area of 1,000 square meters or more
Fire protection objects listed in Paragraph 1 (10) or (16) of Annex Order (for fire protection objects listed in Paragraph 16 of the same table, use of fire protection objects listed in Paragraph 1 (10) of the same table) (Limited to those where there is a part to be provided for the purpose.) Of the platforms on the ground floor, one of the following
- Stations with multiple routes
- Stations with more than 3 levels underground
About installation standard
About guide light to establish in the next place, setting of guide light corresponding to 60 minutes is necessary.
- Entrance that leads directly from indoors to the ground (if an attached room is provided, the entrance to the attached room)
- Entrance of the direct stairs (if an attached room is provided, the entrance of the attached room)
- Corridors and passages leading to the above 1 on the evacuation floor
- Platforms (limited to those on the ground floor)
- Stairs, ramps and passages leading to the above 4
- Direct stairs
However, in the case of passage guide lights, if a luminous guidance sign is provided as follows or if a band-shaped sign that emits light is provided, it is not necessary to install a 60-minute support guide light (in this case, The emergency power supply may be more than the capacity that the guide light can operate effectively for 20 minutes.) 。
- The phosphorescent guidance sign must be a high-luminance phosphorescent guidance sign.
- It must be provided on the floor or in the immediate vicinity.
- It must be provided at places and corners where the walking distance from each part of the corridor and passage to one luminous guidance sign is 7.5m or less.
- Do not provide advertising materials, bulletin boards, etc. that are confusing with the luminous guidance sign or block the luminous or luminous guidance sign around the luminous guidance sign.

Effective from September 1, 2010.
In addition, on the enforcement date, existing fire prevention objects that do not conform to the standards or their parts (including during construction) must conform to the standards by August 31, 2012.
Others
In the case where an emergency lighting device is installed in place of the stairs passage guide lights provided in “Installation Standards” 5 and 6 above, the reserve power will be replaced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Ordinance No. 55 (*) of 2011. It has been decided that it will be more than the capacity that can operate for 60 minutes, so please make a planned renovation.
※Effective from December 1, 2012. In addition, on the enforcement date, existing fire prevention objects that do not conform to the standards or their parts (including during construction) must conform to the standards by November 30, 2014.
