Characteristics of industrial water

Inexpensive price

Industrial water is cheaper than tap water used at home due to simple water purification treatment that does not filtration or chlorination.

Stable water supply

The water supply capacity has 362,000 cubic meters per day, and can supply abundant water stably under a monitoring system 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Water quality close to nature

Since industrial water is the raw water of high-quality water sources, it can be treated and used in water suitable for the customer's usage.

→We support industrial activities through inexpensive and abundant supply.
→Since the water is distributed using the height difference, the water is low, and there are few chemicals used for water purification treatment, so it is environmentally friendly.

Applications for industrial water

For industrial use

Industrial water is used for cooling water, hot water, product processing water, cleaning water, boiler water, raw material water, etc. for the purpose of supplying to industry (manufacturing, electricity supply, gas supply, heat supply). Can be used.

As miscellaneous water

Industrial water can also be used as miscellaneous water, such as cooling and heating of commercial facilities and toilet water, cleaning of animal houses, and agricultural facilities such as plant factories.

※Industrial water is not available for drinking.

Water quality of industrial water

We supply treated water that sinks raw water from the same high quality water source as water supply as industrial water.

Water quality of industrial water
Standard items Raw water ※1 Treated water ※2 Water quality standards (regulations)
Water temperature 15.6℃ 15.3℃ 28°C or less
Turbidity 11 degrees 2.6 degrees 16 degrees or less
Hydrogen ion concentration (pH) 7.96 7.48 6.0-8.6
Hardness 54mg/ℓ 55mg/ℓ 100mg/l or less
Alkaliness 49mg/ℓ 42mg/ℓ 5mg/l or more
Evaporation residues 114mg/ℓ 109mg/ℓ 250mg/l or less
Chlorine ion 6.0mg/ℓ 50mg/l or less
Iron ion 0mg/ℓ 2mg/l or less

Mechanism of Fees

The industrial water charge is calculated by summing up the two rates, a flat-rate basic charge based on the basic water volume and a basic charge calculated according to the actual amount of water used within the basic water volume.
In addition, there is an excess fee that applies to the amount of water used beyond the basic amount of water.

Basic water volume

The basic amount of water per day is determined based on the supply contract. The basic amount of water is determined by 24 times the planned amount of water per hour, which is the most used in the day.
In addition, the basic amount of water cannot be reduced in principle.

Basic water volume = Water volume per hour used most frequently in the day x 24 hours
Basic water volume per hour 25 cubic meters x 24 hours = 600 cubic meters (in units of 100 cubic meters)
※The basic amount of water is more than 200 cubic meters per day.

Fee unit price (excluding tax per cubic meter)

Unit price
Type Contents Unit price
Basic charge Fixed fee for basic water volume 25.1 yen
Basic usage fee Used within the basic amount of water per hour
Fees for water volume (basic water consumption)
4.0 yen
Excess charges We used more than the basic amount of water per hour.
Fees for water volume (excessed water consumption)
87.3 yen

Calculation formula for charges

Industrial water charge = (basic charge + basic charge + excess charge) + consumption tax equivalent

  • Basic charge = Basic water volume x number of calendar days x basic charge unit price (25.1 yen)
  • Basic usage fee = Basic usage amount x Basic usage fee unit price (4.0 yen)
  • Excess charge = excess water consumption x excess charge unit price (87.3 yen)

Conceptual diagram of charge calculation

Examples of calculation of fees

When the basic water volume is 600 cubic meters / day, the basic water usage per month is 10,000 cubic meters, and the excess water usage per month is 120 cubic meters (calculated on 30 days a month)

Basic charge 600 cubic meters x 30 days x 25.1 yen = 451,800 yen
Basic usage fee 10,000 cubic meters x 4 yen = 40,000 yen
Excess charge 120 cubic meters 3 x 87.3 yen = 10,476 yen
Amount equivalent to consumption tax 50,227 yen
Total 552,503 yen

Procedures for water supply

Consultation

Please confirm the cost of new water supply (installation of meters and water receiving tank, construction of water distribution facilities, construction of water supply facilities).

Water supply application and basic water volume determination

Please submit a water supply application form. After examination, the basic amount of water per day is determined. The determined basic water volume cannot be reduced unless there is a special reason.

Approximate delivery of water distribution facilities

If water distribution facility construction (bureau construction) is required, please pay the estimated construction cost. After confirming the delivery, we will start construction of water distribution facilities.

Construction of water supply facilities

Please submit approval application of water supply facility construction (own expense construction). After approval, construction of water supply facilities can be started.

Completion and settlement of water distribution facilities

After the water distribution facility construction (bureau construction) is completed, the construction cost will be settled (refund or additional).

Completion and inspection of water supply facilities and start of water supply

We carry out completion inspection of water supply facility construction (own expense construction). Water supply will start after passing the completion inspection.

※The above procedure is a standard example and may differ.

Costs and facilities required for new water supply

Installation of meters and receiving tanks

The installation of a meter to calculate the fee and the replacement of the meter every eight years based on the Measurement Law are at the customer's expense. Water Works Bureau installs a flow meter for automatic meter reading, but the base and power supply of the measurement board must be installed at the customer's expense.
Install a water receiving tank to receive water supply evenly at all times and prepare for water outages. In the event of a disaster, due to force majeure such as damage to industrial water supply facilities, or if there is an unavoidable reason due to facility renewal work, the water may be cut off.
If the water is cut off for a period of more than 24 hours, the basic fee will be reduced based on the standard.

Water distribution facility construction (bureau construction)

In order to receive new water supply by industrial water supply, customers will be responsible for the construction costs when laying water pipes (public pipes) is required.
You will have to pay the estimated amount of construction in advance and settle it after the construction is completed.

Water supply facility construction (own expense construction)

The installation of water pipes from the branch of the water pipes (public pipes) to the receiving tank on the premises is carried out after the customer requests the waterworks contractor to apply to the Water Works Bureau, design examination, and approval. A design review fee and completion inspection fee will be charged.
[Example] If the water supply pipe is 75mm or more, 35,300 yen
