What is a safe and secure shopping street development business?

When the shopping association conducts anti-crime program patrol activities, this system subsidizes a portion of the electricity and gas charges for street lights maintained and managed by the shopping association.
We will promote the development of shopping streets and contribute to road traffic safety, local anti-crime program measures and urban beautification.

Documents to be submitted

  • Copy of Articles of Incorporation or Articles of Incorporation
  • Copy of electricity and gas bill receipts from January to December of the previous year or copy of payment certificate (if the business start is in the middle of the subsidized period, copy from the start month to December) (Note 1)
  • Street Light Location Map
  • Photos of street lights (3 or more) However, if there is no continuous application and there is no change, it can be omitted.

(Note 1) If a receipt is no longer issued due to the switchover of a power company, please ask each company to issue a “payment certificate”. For more information, please contact each company.
(Note 2) If you are paying for the maintenance and management of street lights from Neighborhood Association, etc., you will need to submit a memorandum of understanding with Neighborhood Association, etc.

Subsidiary requirements

It is necessary to satisfy all of the following four items.

  • Maintaining and managing street lights
  • The street lights are turned on even after the store closes in the shopping district.
  • Continue to implement the above two until the end of December.
  • Implement anti-crime program Patrol(Note 1) at least the specified number of times (Note 2) during the period covered by assistance (January to December).

(Note 1) The anti-crime program patrol means that the shopping association regularly visits neighboring areas, including the shopping district, to maintain the safety and security of the shopping district.
(Note 2) If a store association that does not own street lights installs new street lights during the period covered by the subsidy, the number of anti-crime program patrols will vary depending on the month it was installed.

Since the start month of business is June and the prescribed number of times is "three times", it is necessary to conduct a anti-crime program patrol at least three times.

Expenses to be subsidized

・Total electricity and gas charges from January to December of the previous year
However, if a store association that does not have a street light newly installs a street light during the period covered by assistance, it will be the period covered by assistance from the month of installation.

Subsidy rate and subsidy limit

Subsidy rate 1/2, subsidy limit 500,000 yen

In the event that the information is false, a return may be requested even after the grant is issued.
