Since fiscal 2023, City of Yokohama, Transportation Bureau has introduced Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau's non-fossil certificate (environmental value) on the Green Line, which has been operating with virtually zero CO2 emissions.
As a result, from April 1, 2025, all municipal subway lines will start operating with virtually zero CO2 emissions.
Non-fossil Certificates
Extract the "non-fossil value (environmental value)" of electricity generated at "non-fossil power plants" that do not use fossil fuels such as petroleum, and buy and sell them as certificates.
It's a system.
If this certificate is combined with electricity generated using fossil fuels, it can be regarded as "zero CO2 emissions."
