GREEN x EXPO 2027 A symposium was held two years ago.

                                                                                                            
                                                                                                               
GREEN × EXPO 2027 welcomes you with overwhelming flowers and greenery, and focuses on climate change, which has a significant impact on our lives, and works with citizens in harmony with the environment. This is the first international exposition in Japan with the theme of "Kingkyo".

A symposium was held two years before the event (March 19).

At the symposium, participants discussed the role of GREEN × EXPO in addressing global issues such as climate change, and measures to coexist with the environment and sustain nature, people and society together.

Mari Yoshitaka

Director of the International Horticultural Expo Association 2027/Fellow of Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting Co., Ltd. (Sustainability)
Professor, Faculty of Liberal Arts, The University of Tokyo. Professor, Keio University. Graduate School of Environment and Sustainability, University of Michigan, USA. Graduate School of Media and Governance, Keio University. He has been engaged in environmental finance consulting for many years. Joined Mitsubishi UFJ Research & Consulting in May 2020. Currently, he provides advice and advice on climate change, GX, sustainable finance, etc. to various sectors. Hijioka Yasuaki (Yasuaki)

Director, Center for Climate Change Adaptation Center, National Institute for Environmental Studies. Born in Kagoshima Prefecture in 1971. Graduated from the Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo in 2001. Ph.D. He joined the National Institute for Environmental Studies in the same year. Current position since 2023. His expertise is the impact and adaptation of climate change. He has authored "ADAPTATION 100 strategies to survive the climate crisis." Sato Rumi (Rumi)

Executive Director, NPO Bir. She presides over the “Midori Intermediate Support Organization” that draws out the power of the city’s “green” and utilizes it in community development. Created partnerships between industry, government, academia and citizens in various places based on park green spaces. Yasuyuki Igarashi (Yasuyuki)

Director of Zero Carbon and GREEN×EXPO Promotion Bureau, Yokohama City. In the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and Fukui Prefecture, he was involved in urban planning and community development, operation of state-owned Hitachi Seaside Park and Showa Memorial Park, Expo of Osaka Hana, etc., and worked as Minister's Secretariat of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism before assuming his current position in 2023.
