About bid

Last updated on November 2, 2020.

Q
1 What is general competitive bidding?
A

General competitive bidding is a bidding system that anyone can basically participate, regardless of individual or corporation.
A bid will be made by the person who has applied in advance, and the person who has presented the highest price above the minimum sale price will be the "successful bidder" and a sales contract will be concluded.
For bidding, it is necessary to pay a bid deposit of 5/100 or more of the bid price (not the minimum sale price) by the bidding date. (The bid deposit will be returned if the bid cannot be made.)
No special procedure is required other than the above application and bid deposit. In fact, many individuals have participated so far.

Q
2 Please tell us about the bid deposit.
A

We hand payment notice of bid deposit to one who applied for bid.
Please fill in this payment slip with an amount of 5/100 or more of your bid (not the minimum sale price) and pay by the bidding date.
You can present the payment slip (receipt) that has been paid on the day of bidding, and only those who have confirmed the payment can participate in the bidding.
The bid deposit will be returned to those who were unable to make a successful bid. Please note that it will take about 2 months after bidding to return.

Q
3 Can I apply for more than one property?
A

You can apply for multiple properties. However, in order to participate in the bidding, an application form and a bid deposit are required for each.

Q
4 Can I apply under a joint name?
A

You can apply under the joint name. In that case, all holders must fill out required items at the time of application and submit required documents. Please note that the applicant is a contractor and cannot be changed after application. .

Q
5 Can you tell me the status of your application?
A

The application status has not been announced.

Q
6 What happens if I do not apply and participate in the bidding?
A

After applying (after paying a bid deposit), there is no penalty even if you do not participate in the bid.
However, if you do not make a contract even though you participate in the bid (with bid participation qualification), you will lose your right as a successful bidder and the bid deposit will belong to Yokohama City. In addition, for two years from the date of decline of the contract, eligibility for participation in general competitive bidding sales will be suspended.
