Last updated on March 6, 2019.
Pedestrian safety and security increased in the “Barrier-Free Promotion Guidelines for Pedestrians during Construction”
Due to the construction, the usability of the road you are used to on a daily basis changes greatly, making it difficult to walk or inconvenient. In addition, even minor changes due to construction may be a heavy burden for the elderly and the disabled.
Therefore, Yokohama City has been working to enhance the safety and security of pedestrians even during construction.
We devise "barrier-free promotion guidelines for pedestrians during construction" and carry out from July 1.
In formulating the guidelines, opinions were solicited and guidelines were formulated reflecting many opinions received.
