Exchange programs with the Republic of Bulgaria

In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the constituency system in fiscal 2007, Hodogaya Ward has concluded partner city agreements with Sophia, the capital of Bulgaria, and has continued to interact in various ways.

Major Initiatives

Conducted Bulgarian understanding classes at elementary schools in the city

As part of the “International Cultural Understanding Project” that has been implemented since 2016, 3 or 4 elementary schools show Bulgarian folk music and introduce Bulgarian culture every year.

In addition, music performances in Bulgaria and opening a ward festival booth.
