NO.3 Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to Japan paid a courtesy call!
Last updated on November 5, 2020.
Yokohama National University and Hodogaya Ward signed a cooperative cooperation agreement in February 2013 to further enhance and strengthen mutual cooperation. As part of the cooperation, from this year, we have been conducting “Introduction of Culture in Homeland by International Students from Yokohama National University” on the ward's website.
When we introduced Panama with Fatema Isabella, an international student from Yokohama National University Graduate School from the Republic of Panama in this project, the embassy borrowed photos of wonderful scenery, tourist attractions, and traditional culture in Panama. I was able to make an easy-to-understand introduction to everyone.
In addition, at the “Multicultural Symbiosis Exhibition” held from October 23 to November 4, with the cooperation of the embassy, renting folk instruments and traditional costumes, etc. I was able to create a valuable opportunity to learn about multicultural coexistence. .

For this reason, Ambassador Carlos Pele paid a courtesy visit to Hodogaya Ward on Wednesday, October 28. At the round-table conference, international student homes also participated, introducing the projects that the ward has implemented in cooperation with international students, and also talked about the ambassador's thoughts on international students and their impressions of Yokohama. In addition, the ambassador visited the multicultural symbiosis exhibition held at the ward office and talked directly about the traditional culture of Panama.
Mr. Pele said, "I would like to thank Yokohama City for accepting international students from Panama, and continue to cooperate with Hodogaya Ward in the future, cherishing the relationship that the international students have connected." Hodogaya Ward will continue to work with international students to promote international exchange and multicultural coexistence.
