Vegetable cultivation
Vegetable cultivation by elementary school students
We distribute vegetable breeding kits for elementary school students in the city to experience fresh vegetables through growing and harvesting vegetables and to make them feel closer to locally grown and consumed.
In fiscal 2022, 18 schools have been cultivating vegetables.

Vegetable cultivation in front of the ward office square
At the ward office, planters are cultivating vegetables in front of the ward office (near the stairs on the Sotetsu Line) with the aim of having the next agency feel vegetable cultivation close to them and getting them interested.
In 2022, we are cultivating eggplants, peppers, mini tomatoes, okra and blueberries.
We also raise the descendants of morning glory who went to space with Naoko Yamazaki (Astronaut) in 2010 every year.
