On Sunday, May 14, the 19th Kamisasashita District Shakyo Sweet Potato Planting Party was held in a field in the Hitorizawa area. About 1,400 sweet potato seedlings were planted for the Harvest festival (Switch ON Isogo Kamisasashita District Promotion Council sponsored by the Japan National Council of Social Welfare) to be held in autumn.
The weather was light rain on the day, but the participants carefully planted seedlings one by one. It would be nice to have a lot of sweet potatoes during the autumn Harvest festival.
