"Syphilis" is increasing!

Do you know "Syphilis"?

Syphilis is one of the sexually transmitted diseases and can also be transmitted in kisses and oral sex.
In recent years, the number of reports has been large nationwide, and in Yokohama City, both total numbers and gender have been updated for the second consecutive year. By age, 70 to 80% of men were in their 20s and 40s, and about 50% of women were in their 20s.

■What kind of illness?
・I have no symptoms at first. Symptoms such as things, sore, and rash are various, and usually do not involve pain or itching.
・Symptoms may disappear naturally, but if left untreated, serious complications can occur to the heart, blood vessels, brain, etc.
・Infection during pregnancy can result in premature birth, stillbirth, or severe damage to the baby (congenital syphilis).
・Even if you have had it before, you may be infected.
・Even if you do not have symptoms, if you are infected, you may infect others by sexual activity. Proper use of condoms reduces the risk of infection, but cannot be completely prevented.
If you treat it early, it will be cured.
You can see if there is infection by a blood test. (For details of inspections at Izumi Health and Welfare Center, see below.)

About HIV

HIV (AIDS) was regarded as a disease directly linked to death a long time ago, but in recent years, appropriate treatment can restore and maintain health even if you are infected with HIV. I can do it. The sooner you discover HIV infection and start treatment, the better the prognosis.
