Flower of ward

The flower of Izumi Ward is "Ayame". As one of the 5th anniversary commemorative projects of the constituency system, Ayame was enacted in 1992 based on the image of water and green in Izumi Ward.
The expression "Ayame" in the ward refers to all iris sanguinea genus such as Japanese iris, iris sanguinea and rabbit ear iris.
Generally speaking, iris sanguinea is said to be around May and Japanese iris around June.

At the store on the first floor of the Izumi Ward Office, we sold a business card mount with an iris motif, but ended at the end of March 2023.
