What are the Consumer Affairs Committee and Children's Committee?
- The Consumer Affairs Committee is a part-time local government employee commissioned by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare under the Consumer Affairs Committee Act.
- The local welfare officer also serves as a children's committee stipulated in the Child Welfare Law.
- The term of office is three years (reappointment is possible) and I am working as an unpaid volunteer. (Activity expenses (fixed amount) such as necessary transportation expenses, communication expenses, training participation expenses are paid.)
- In Yokohama, one local welfare committee member is assigned to every 200 to 440 households. About 280 local welfare committee members and children's committee members are recommended by the Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations and others.
