Appropriate decision-making support
Regarding appropriate decision-making support at the final stage of life, healthcare professionals such as doctors provide and explain appropriate information, and based on that, patients discuss with healthcare professionals and make decisions based on the patient's own decision. It is said that it is most important to proceed.
In March 2018, the government (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare) formulated the "Guidelines on the Decision Process of Medical and Care at the Final Stage of Life" and published them on its website.
We have revised our hospital's "Guidelines for Appropriate Decision Support" and announce it.
