Complaint Case Studies Bread where mold was growing

1.Overview

When I bought it and stored it at room temperature for 2 days, black mold has grown. A week later, mold spread throughout the surface. The black soot and yellow mold settlements were found on the surface.

2.Test results

  • Culture media: Potato dextrosse agar
  • Growth: Normal
  • Form: Powder
  • Color: Black

3.Conclusion

It was presumed to be a mold of the genus Aspergillus (A.niger).

4.Reference

 It is widely distributed all over the world. It is detected in various agricultural products as soil and storage bacteria, especially in various foods at room temperature, such as cereals, processed grains, beans, nuts, spices, etc., low-water processed foods, and foods with high sugar and salt. Containers and packaging, paper, industrial products, various daily necessities, cultural properties, house dust, especially in indoor environments, are said to be related to allergic diseases such as asthma. In addition, there is mycotoxin-producing bacteria.
