The 25th Kohoku Ward Petanque Tournament was held.
On Sunday, November 15, the 25th Kohoku Ward Petanque Tournament was held at Tsurumi River Tarumachi Park. This year, which was held due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the scale was reduced, and the tournament was held in consideration of ensuring that participants can fully enjoy the safety and security of the participants, such as disinfecting hands and wearing masks.
Petanque is a simple French sport in which you throw or roll a metal ball and compete to get closer to the target ball. The Kohoku Ward Sports Promotion Committee Liaison Council is working to promote lifelong sports that anyone, regardless of age, can enjoy.

※This year, the scale will be reduced to prevent infectious diseases, and please refrain from eating around the venue.
※The representatives of each team must complete the reception during Reception hours.
Venue
Tsurumi River Tarumachi Park (2-753 Tarumachi, Kohoku-ku)
※There is no parking lot at the venue. Please refrain from coming by car and use public transportation.
Eligibility
Those who are in the third grade of elementary school and who live, work or study in Kohoku Ward (even one of the three students may live, work, or study in the ward).
Team formation
One team player must be three, one of whom must be registered as a representative.
In addition, please register one referee from player (including representative) or player other than player.
※On each court, one sports promotion committee member will support the referee.
Team recruitment
（１） We are recruiting 48 teams for general participation.
（２） Team names are limited to 9 characters, and changes in team names on the day are not allowed.
（３） In the case of a large number of applications, it will be a lottery. The result of the lottery will be notified by Friday, October 9, regardless of the result.
※The organizer will draw lots in consideration so that all districts can participate.
Participation fee
1,000 yen
The delivery method will be announced separately to the team whose participation has been confirmed.

Competition method
（１） The ranking will be determined from 1st to 3rd or 4th depending on the qualifying (round robin) and the final tournament.
（２） In the qualifying league and final tournament, the winner will be determined based on a score of 11 points ahead or a competition time (within 20 minutes).
（３） In the case of ties, one team representative will decide on one ball. However, only the final match will be extended by one Maene, and the tie will be made.
In the case, it is decided by one ball of one representative.
（４） If the competition time is over and you are on the way, you will throw it all.
（５） Only for the first game of each team, you can practice two throws per person.
（６） Except for the rules specified by the organizer of this tournament, the judge shall judge.
Convention rules
（１） The rules shall be based on the competition rules (Kohoku Ward rules).
（２） During the competition, only players can enter the court.
Combination
It will be decided by the organizer. (Announced on the day)
Others
(1) The organizer will take out sports insurance for the participants of this tournament, but will not take any other responsibility.
(2) The participation of minors shall be subject to the consent of their parents.
(3) Substitute players will not be registered, but members can be changed only at the reception on the day.
(4) In order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, the event may be canceled in advance.
(5) For infectious disease prevention measures, please fill out the checklist for participation in the tournament to be sent at a later date and submit it at the reception on the day.
(6) If the event is canceled due to rain or other reasons, the event will be announced on the Kohoku Ward Office website by 7:00 a.m. Please check it.

(7) If you must abstain, please contact [Application / Contact] at least one week in advance.
(8) Participation fee in case of cancellation due to rainy weather or abstention will not be refunded because it will be used for expenses for preparing the tournament. Thank you for your understanding.
(9) Please take your garbage home.
(10) Please use the equipment prepared by the organizer.
(11) There is no parking lot at the venue. Please refrain from coming by car.
(12) The venue is a park, so please do not use fire.
(13) No smoking is allowed inside and around the venue on the day of the event.
(14) Regarding the personal information submitted at the time of application, the ward staff of the tournament secretariat and the tournament officers of the Kohoku Ward Sports Promotion Committee are within the scope of the tournament management.
