Promote the use of data through sports
On June 1, 2017, Keio University Graduate School of System Design and Management and Kohoku Ward concluded a partnership agreement with the aim of contributing to the further development of each other by conducting surveys and projects on local issues utilizing research results related to system thinking, design thinking, and management, through sports initiatives and studying the use of data. As part of the cooperation agreement, Kohoku residents will work to develop the ability to collect, analyze, and consider sports data (sports data) they have performed, and work to promote open data on sports data. going. This initiative is being implemented in cooperation with each department of the Keio University Athletic Association.

As the COVID-19 infection has made it difficult to conduct radio exercises in the community, we have provided opportunities for children and other residents of the ward through online radio exercises and verified the possibility of such efforts.
“Online Exercise Program” for elementary school students to experience top athletes (June 2020)
We conducted an online exercise program for elementary school student at Hiyoshidai Elementary School in Yokohama.
In online guidance, by conducting questionnaires and video verifications, we aimed not only to eliminate lack of exercise but also to acquire and improve athletic skills. In addition, we used web applications to input and look back on daily sleep time and physical condition to improve the disturbance in daily rhythm.
Elementary school students experience top athlete level "Data x Tag Rugby Class" (September 2019)
In a physical education class at Hiyoshidai Elementary School in Yokohama, we worked to improve interest in sports and athletic ability through video and data using GNSS receivers and drones compatible with GPS and quasi-zenith satellite "Michibiki". While incorporating training methods for top athletes, we verified the effects based on sports data. Through tag rugby initiatives, the Rugby World Cup 2019 TM, which started on September 20, 2019, has been excited from the region.
Yokohama Kohoku Sports Mirai Summit 2019-Energize the City with Sports-(February 2019)
Keio University and Kohoku Ward held a symposium to think about the region through sports data initiatives. Sports Data Science Experience Class (September-December 2018)
In a physical education class at Hiyoshidai Elementary School in Yokohama City, sports data was collected using drones and GPS receivers, and classrooms were used to improve sports performance using that data.
This year, we worked together for about three months of tag rugby classes for physical education to improve performance and change behavior. With the cooperation of the Keio University kickball (rugby) club and the race club, elementary school students in the city experienced the latest sports data adopted by top athletes. .

Sports Data Science Experience Class (October 2017)
The second sports data science class was held from June to July 2017 for fifth graders at Hiyoshidai Elementary School in Yokohama City.
We held a classroom where students can learn about cutting-edge sports data science from Keio SDM teachers and the kickball club, such as experience of collecting sports data using drones and GPS receivers.
We also watched the game of Keio University Kickball Club, a prestigious rugby player.
