Answers to frequently asked questions (sewers and waterways)

• In the case of "only the toilet is clogged" or "water does not flow only in the kitchen or bath", the drainage system in the residential land may be clogged. The management owner of the drainage system in the residential land is supposed to perform it, so if you can clean it yourself, or if you need to repair it yourself, ask a drainage construction contractor.
• For consultation on drainage facilities in residential lands, please consult with a contractor who constructed the water around your home, a drainage equipment manufacturer that uses it, or a nearby "Yokohama City Drainage Designated Construction Shop".
• If all sewers in the residential land do not flow, please contact Public Works Office (telephone 045-531-7361) as public sewers may be clogged.

• Sewage pipe flushing work must be a designated construction shop in Yokohama City. As for designated construction shop, please see Yokohama-shi drainage designation construction shop (list).
• "Yokohama-shi plumbing cooperative" (outside site) (telephone 045-681-6631), which is a business group in Yokohama City, also introduces union members (Yokohama-shi drainage designation construction shop). Reception hours is from 8:30 to 17:30 (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays and December 29 to January 4).　However, the union will only introduce it. Please consult directly with the designated drainage facility construction shop for consultation on the contents and costs of the construction.

Inspection and commercial law has been issued to inspect drainage facilities in residential lands that are not needed, request unreasonable prices, and sell chemicals and equipment.
