Food drive window
Would you like to share the surplus food that you can't eat?
What is a food drive?
This is an activity in which unused foods that cannot be used at each home are brought together and donated to food bank organizations and local welfare facilities and organizations. Approximately 20,000 tons of untouched foods are discarded in the city annually. This is equivalent to the amount of 10,000 garbage trucks.
Food drives can help reduce food loss as well as food support. Food collected in the ward is delivered to those who need it through the Kohoku Ward Japan National Council of Social Welfare. Thank you for your cooperation in providing food.

Flow of Food Provision
Foods provided to the Kohoku Ward Office and the Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau Port North Office will be delivered to the recipients through the Kohoku Ward Japan National Council of Social Welfare.
