The Tanabe family is an old family in Shimoda-cho, Kohoku-ku, and according to the family tradition, it was a descendant of Takeshi Mikawa.Edo shogunate. It is said that
In addition to thatched main house and storehouses, there are also ruins of air raid shelters and old wells, and bamboo bushes and thicket of trees around main house that convey the atmosphere of satoyama.
Opened in 2014 as the "Hiyoshi no Mori Garden Museum" in 2014, modern sculptures and production on the theme of "agriculture" by sculptor Mitsuaki Tanabe in a historical landscape where you can feel the seasonal atmosphere. The preservation and utilization of green spaces and cultural heritage are being actively carried out, such as the collection of ethnic materials and other materials that have had a significant impact on the project.
