Yokohama Yoshida Junior High School Oimatsu Junior High School

1 Purpose
　The Board of Education has been examining the setting of a special adjustment school area (*) for some areas of the school area of Yokohama Yoshida Junior High School.
　The region has long been demanding support for commuting to school in order to reduce the risk of health risks such as heat stroke by long-distance commute (to school) and traffic accidents caused by heavy traffic. In addition, it is an area where there is a lot of influx of child-rearing generations, and we have heard that we want to increase local revitalization while having children attach to the area. .
　In response to these requests, the Board of Education made a comprehensive decision and decided to set the area as a special school district where Oimatsu Junior High School can choose. As a result, residents of the designated area will be able to choose between Yokohama Yoshida Junior High School and Oimatsu Junior High School.
※ Special adjustment school area: You can choose between designated school and the host school when you enter or enter your school. There are no special requirements for selection.

2 Target Areas
　Minato Mirai 1-chome to 6-chome, Sakuragicho 4-chome to 7-chome, Hanasakicho 4-chome to 7-chome, Miyazakicho, Momijigaoka, Takashima 1-chome

3 Effective Date
　April 1, 2025

4 Those who are eligible
(1)　New first-year junior high school students who will enter after April 2025
(2)　Junior high school students who are transferred to the target area after the enforcement date

With the setting of the special adjustment school area, a briefing session was held for parents of the target area and related elementary schools.
