Individual support class (special support class)
What is an individual support class (special support class)?
※In Yokohama City, special support classes are called "individual support classes."
Individual support classes are small classes for learning according to the state and degree of disability of each child.
In Yokohama City, there are individual support classes for "intellectual disability", "autism / emotional disorder" and "low vision".
In Yokohama City, individual support classes have been set up at all municipal elementary and junior high schools.
(Individual support classes for "amblyopia" are set up only at schools where the target child is enrolled.)
When you want to use an individual support class
Please submit the application form to the Special Needs Education Center.
※If you are a new school student, you will be required to submit it to the school if you have already enrolled.
※Depending on the situation, consultation to the center may not be required (only documents are completed).
