Dietary and living expenses at the time of hospitalization
Last updated on March 25, 2025.
When you are hospitalized, you will be charged for meals, etc. (Food expenses will be paid in units of meals, up to three times a day). The burden is the cost shown in the table below for each type of hospital or bed. The standard amount for dietary treatment and standard amount for living treatment are not included in the calculation of high medical costs.
Those who fall under low-income 1 or low-income 2 and certify the income category ("Certificate of application of limit and reduction of standard burden (reduction certificate)" or qualification with income category If you cannot show your confirmation at the time of hospitalization and have paid for the general income category, you can get a refund by applying.
※If you have a minor insurance card and have been able to confirm your online qualification, you will be paid according to your income category even if you cannot show proof of your income category.
