Exemption from insurance premiums, etc.
Last updated on March 28, 2023.
In principle, National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) is based on a contribution system in which insurance premiums are paid, but for the first insured, a fixed amount of premium payment is stipulated, and during the long insured period, it may not be possible to pay insurance premiums for a period of time. Therefore, if the requirements stipulated in advance are met, the statutory exemption and maternity exemption that exempts the payment of insurance premiums, and the application exemption that exempts the payment of insurance premiums by applying for low income etc. Exemption (full amount / part), if the person is under 50 years old, there is a system called payment deferral.
In addition, if the student himself is less than a certain income, he / she expects to pay insurance premiums after graduation, etc. without asking his / her parents to pay insurance premiums. There is a special student payment system in which payment of insurance premiums is deferred.
- Statutory exemption
- Exemption before and after childbirth
- Application exemption (full and partial)
- Special student payment
- Deferral of payment
※ If it becomes difficult to pay National Pension Plan (Kokumin Nenkin) premiums due to the impact of COVID-19 infection, you can apply for a special exemption application for 2022 (exemption and postponement from July 2022 to June 2023, and special student payment exceptions from April 2022 to March 2023).
