The indication of residence will change the Address of all residents. As it becomes business that the whole area is concerned, I would like consultation from local representative (self-government chairperson, neighborhood chairperson) by all means.
If you have an individual request to carry out the indication of residence, please consult with the Union Neighborhood Associations and Neighborhood Association.

"I want to carry out a house indication, but what should I do specifically?" In response to requests from Neighborhood Association, Neighborhood Associations, etc., the staff of the city hall will explain the housing labeling system to local representatives.

If you agree that you would like to carry out a house indication in the area, please submit a request form.
In the request form, please describe the reason for wanting to carry out the house indication or the situation of the town.

The Housing Indication Review Committee will be set up with local representatives (self-government chairman, town chairman) and related organizations (police department, Post Office, Legal Affairs Bureau) as members.

We will describe in the flyer that we have started examining the implementation of the house indication and a brief system explanation of the house indication.

At the House Indication Exploratory Committee launched in 4, please consider the boundaries of the town and the Shinmachi name plan accompanying the implementation of the house indication. The staff of the city hall and ward office also participates in the Exploratory Committee and supports the examination. .

Approximately one year before the implementation of the house display, we will explain to the target local residents what the house display is and how it changes when the house display is implemented.
Prior to the event, we will distribute information on briefings and simple information on house indications to each household in the area where the house indication will be implemented.

The Yokohama City Housing Indication Council, which is organized by academics and local resident representatives, will discuss the new town name and Shinmachi area examined by the Housing Indication Exploratory Committee.

If you approve the new town name and Shinmachi area plan at the Housing Indication Council, we will publish a notification in the Yokohama City Newsletter.

The implementation of residence labeling must be legally approved by the City Counsil.
In City Counsil, you will be asked to carry out house indications and discuss new town areas.

If you receive a vote in City Counsil, we will post a notice in the Yokohama City Newsletter about the name of the new town, the Shinmachi area, and the date of residence indication.

About one month before the indication of residence, Yokohama City will notify residents of the new Address. At the same time, along with the notification from the New Address, we will distribute the "Household Indication Bookmark" which describes procedures for changing the Address, and the "Town Name Board" and "House Number Display Board" with the New Address to each household.

About one month prior to the implementation of the house labeling, we will hold briefings to all people in the target areas about how the Address and permanent domicile will change when the Address will be displayed.

The street name and town area will be updated by the house display.
