This is a procedure for people living outside the city to obtain a copy of the family register tag at a convenience store. It is available to those who have a My Number card with permanent domicile in the city. We accept from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. It can be issued on the same day. For the first time, you need to apply for registration in advance. family register's tag is a certificate issued at the place of residence along with family register and contains the history of Address since family register was created.

People who can use it
A person who has a permanent domicile in Yokohama and has a My Number Card containing an electronic certificate for user certification.
Notes
- This page describes the procedures for people living outside Yokohama City. If you live in Yokohama, please see "[People living in the city] Get a copy of the family register's tag at a convenience store."
- Convenience store delivery service is available only to the person who has a My Number card.
- If you are registered as a resident outside Yokohama City, you need to apply for registration in advance. It takes up to 5 days to register for use.
- Please note that if you submit a family register notification such as child birth or marriage registration form, it will take a certain period of time to reflect it on your family register certificate. For more information, please contact the City Office.

- You cannot get a vote for the family register tag.
- For copies of family register's tag, which does not indicate the name of the first person, Mr. permanent domicile, may not be displayed correctly. Application for registration (only for the first use)
For the first time, you need to apply for registration in advance. It takes about 5 days to register for use.
Those who need to register again
Once you register for use, you do not need to apply for each use. However, those who fall under the following conditions need to register again.
- Person who made change of permanent domicile outside ward
- Person who updated digital certificate
- Person who updated my number card
Application time
From 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
(On the fourth Wednesday of odd months, from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, excluding holidays, New Year's holidays, and system suspension days)
How to apply
You can apply in one of the following two ways. For details, please refer to the method of obtaining family register certification at your home address (external site).
- Convenience store multi-copy machine (My number card, personal identification number (4 digits) of digital certificate for user certification is required)
- PC (My number card, PIN (6 to 16 digits) of digital certificate for signature, IC card reader required)
※You can't apply from your smartphone.
Confirmation of the status of examination
You can check it in one of the following two ways.

The application number displayed at the time of application for registration is required. The application number cannot be given from Yokohama City.

Notes
- Convenience store delivery service is not available with Basic Resident Register card and private seal registration card.
- After the expiration date of the digital certificate of My Number Card, you will not be able to use the convenience store delivery service.
- It will not be available on the day you receive your My Number Card. Please note that the use is enabled from the next day when received it. (Due to the delay in data linkage to the convenience store delivery system due to the rapid increase in the number of My Number Cards issued, the convenience store delivery service on the next day may not be available, and it may take about 2 business days to start using it.)

Notes
- Fee refunds and certificates cannot be exchanged.
- Certificates that fall under the provisions of the fee exemption are not available. Please use the ward office or administrative service corner.
How to operate a multi-copy machine
Please refer to the method of obtaining a family register certificate at your home address (Local Government Information System Organization) (external site).
Notes
- The PIN at the time of issuing the certificate is the PIN (4 digits) of the digital certificate for user certification.
- Please note that is not available when gets a wrong password consecutively three times.
- It will take some time for the certificate to be printed, so please do not leave until you receive the certificate.

Notice
From January 11, 2022, the contents of the family register tag have changed.
As a result of the revision of the the Law of the Basic Resident Registers, the date of birth and gender will be newly recorded on the family register tag from January 11, 2022 (excluding the family register tag that was rejected prior to the enforcement date).
In addition, in principle, a copy of the family register's tag does not indicate the name of the first person in permanent domicile. If you would like to see the product, please fill out the invoice.

About remodeling
In Yokohama, on July 19, 2008, along with the remodeling of family register, the family register tag was remodeled. family register's tag (remodeled original tag) before remodeling was discarded on February 23, 2015 because the storage period has passed.
