The Yokohama Education Support Center provides support for social independence based on the situation of elementary school student truancy (elementary and junior high school students) living in Yokohama or enrolled in Yokohama City Schools.

Heartful Friend Home Visit
For elementary school student students who are difficult to go out, university students (heartful friends) visit their homes and become friends and playmates to help improve self-affirmation and build relationships of trust with people. We do not provide learning support.

Number of dispatches
Approximately once every two weeks, a total of 10 visits (about 2 hours each time)

Heartful space
Through creative activities and sports experience activities, elementary school student students who cannot go to school but can go out, foster a sense of self-affirmation and mutual trust, and provide consultation and support for social independence. In addition, we will hold information exchange meetings between parents.

Activities
Creative activities, light sports, experience activities 6 to 7 times a year (including accommodation experience)

From 9:30 to 15:00, activities from 60 to 90 minutes are once or twice a week.
Tour
In principle, every Tuesday and Thursday from 15:00 (up to 3 sets per day)

For elementary school student students who cannot go to school but can go out, we aim to establish basic lifestyles, supplement basic academic skills, and adapt to school life through group and sports experience activities centered on learning. This is a room-type facility that provides consultation and support for social independence.

Gathering of Parents
As part of support for parents who have elementary and junior high school students in truancy, we hold a gathering of parents to discuss how to think about truancy and how to treat children together, and provide opportunities for parents to exchange information.

Yokohama truancy Parents' Association Network
truancy Children's Parents' Association in Yokohama is a network established with the aim of supporting each other through the support of parents so that school refusal children can take their own path of social independence by taking advantage of their horizontal connections.
