Information on procedures for user registration online

Introduction

Those who can register online

Those who live, commute, or go to school in Yokohama City

Notes

In the following cases, you cannot apply online, so please apply at the counter.

  • Those who live in an adjacent city outside Yokohama (for details, see Wide Area Use)
  • Those who have already registered
  • Those who want to use plastic library cards
    In the case of new registration online, only the "Digital Library Card" displayed on the smartphone can be used.

What is required for online user registration

  1. Valid email
    The library will send you a notification to your email address in the future.
  2. Copy of identity verification documents (image data)
  3. Documents (employee ID, student ID, student ID, student handbook, etc.) that confirm the place of work or school (in the case of commuting or going to school)

My number card, driver's license, health insurance card, various disability certificates, student ID card, student ID card, etc.

Attention: If there is an expiration date, it must be within the expiration date.

Time required for application

It takes about 3 days from application to registration.

  • If the application details are incomplete or there are many applications, it may take more time.
  • If you would like to issue it in a hurry, please apply at the library window.

Precautions for input

  • The password must be between 8 characters and 15 characters, and alphabetical characters, numbers, and symbols (-/@.+*_#!? %Please use at least one character each.
  • Please select "Send electronic" for your identity verification certificate.

    Select to send identification documents electronically.


How to upload identification documents

  • After completing the temporary registration, an email will be sent to the email address you applied for. Open the email and press the URL of the text.

  • Enter your e-mail address and the password entered at the time of application on the "Identity Verification" page and "log in".
  • Attach the image of the confirmation document on the "Identity Confirmation Registration" page and "Register".

Notes on Uploading Images

  • Up to two files can be attached to the application. When attaching my number card, please do not attach the back side (the side where my number is listed).
  • There are four file formats in the attached file: gif, jpg, jpeg, and png, and the file size is within 3MByte per file. If you exceed the upper limit of the attached file, please apply at the counter.

You will receive a registration completion email.

  • When registration is completed, you will receive a "Notice of Acceptance of Identity Confirmation Documents" by e-mail. Please wait about 3 days until the procedure is completed.

  • After the procedure is completed, you will receive a "Notification of Registration Completed" email. The user number is listed in the body of the email.

Confirmation of application details

  • To confirm your application details, we may contact the e-mail address registered at the time of application or the Phone number.
  • If you are taking measures against spam (domain designation reception, reception permission, etc.), please set so that you can receive mail from "[email protected]".
  • The personal information you have entered will be properly managed in accordance with the "Personal Information Protection Law" and will not be used for any purpose other than library operations.

Information sent from the library

We will send the following information to the registered address in the future. Only those who wish. You can change it in the My Library.

  • I would like to inform you that the reservation materials have been prepared.
  • We will notify you when the expiration date of the user number (library card number) is near.
  • We will inform you if the return period of the materials being borrowed has passed.
  • You can receive information on new books (you need to register the conditions in "New arrival mail registration" in advance).
  • We may notify you urgently when the library is suddenly closed due to the spread of infectious diseases, natural disasters, etc.
