What is the International Youth Conference on Biodiversity?
The International Youth Conference on Biodiversity aims to create a transformative path toward the 2050 Vision for Biodiversity, "Coexistence with Nature," and to contribute to the effective practice of the Kunming Montreal Biodiversity Framework (external site) through youth and its partners. The Action Plan for achieving the World Targets considered at the Youth Conference was shared at the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP16) held in Colombia in October 2024.
In addition, at the venue adjacent to the closing session held on the last day of the conference, the Yokohama Biodiversity Festival, an event where you can enjoy learning about biodiversity, was held as a side event.
