Udagawa

Udagawa originates near Nakata-cho, Izumi-ku, flows almost southwest, and joins Sakaigawa, which is the border between Yokohama and Fujisawa in Matano-cho, Totsuka-ku.

In the past, the Udagawa River was called the Muraoka River. Muraoka is the name of a local town, and Uda Kawana was born in honor of Mr. Uda, who set up a bank downstream during the Taisho era.
Urban Ogawa River Rehabilitation Project from 1970 (currently shifted to urban infrastructure river rehabilitation project) Renovation has been started, and the planned renovation has been extended to 3.52 km.

This waterfall is located in Kumizawa-cho, Totsuka-ku, and is also the name of a citizen's forest. In this waterfall, a folk tale between Kiko Hikoroku and a beautiful daughter was conveyed, and a folk tale park was completed in 1987. Along with the waterfall conservation, the surrounding area has been improved.

"While the woodcut Hikoroku was cutting the tree, he accidentally dropped it into the pool. Then a beautiful woman of the Lord of the waterfall appeared, and invited Hikoroku to the garden of the waterfall. Hikoroku spends a few days with a woman in the garden of the waterfall. I promise that I will never say anything else when I break up with a woman. But when he broke up with the woman and went home, the things in the house had three condemnations. To everyone surprised, Hikoroku broke his promise and talked about the waterfall. Then Hikoroku died on the spot. Then it is said that this pool has come to be called a pool."
