Assistance for emergency repair of damaged houses (emergency repair)
When a disaster occurs and Yokohama City applies the Disaster Relief Act, we will carry out emergency repairs for houses that are damaged and difficult to use as they are.
We are not currently conducting emergency repairs!
In the event of a disaster, we will inform you about the application of this system at any time.
In addition, please note that if you perform voluntary repairs from the occurrence of a disaster to the start of the system, you will not be eligible for assistance.
Overview of Emergency Repair System
When a project is implemented
When a large-scale natural disaster such as major earthquake or heavy rain occurred, causing a large number of damage, and Kanagawa Prefecture decided to implement "rescue under the Disaster Relief Act."
Targets
- Repair of the house in which the applicant currently resides
- The degree of damage to the certificate of damage must be either "completely destroyed", "large-scale partially destroyed", "medium-scale partially destroyed", "semi-destruction", or "semi-destruction".
- It is expected that emergency repairs will no longer require evacuation to refuge, etc., or use of temporary housing.
- In the case of "half-destruction" or "semi-destruction", the household must not be able to perform emergency repairs with their own resources (self-report)
Scope of emergency repairs
Repairs of indispensable parts (rooms, kitchens, toilets, etc.) damaged by the disaster that are necessary and indispensable for daily life activities, and will be implemented for places where emergency repairs are appropriate.
Scope of emergency repairs
Example of repair parts

Completely destroyed, large-scale partially destroyed, medium-scale partially destroyed | 717,000 yen (tax included) |
---|---|
Partially destroyed or semi-destructed | 348,000 yen (tax included) |
Construction contract method
The applicant obtains an estimate from the repair contractor, and the city and the repair contractor enter into a construction contract directly. (up to the limit)
When the amount of construction exceeds the limit
The contract is divided into two.
- With the amount up to the limit, the city and the repair contractor conclude a construction contract.
- For the remaining amount, the applicant and the repair contractor enter into a construction contract (own expense)
About after construction
There is no subsequent procedure for the applicant because the city and the repair contractor have a construction contract.
However, if you contract with a repair contractor for the portion exceeding the limit and have the construction work done, you will need to pay the fee for each.
