About 50 years have passed since Minami-Nagata housing complex started moving in, and many other activities are being carried out to address issues such as the aging of residentshousing complex residents and watching over the elderly. In order to connect these activities to the future, in September 2021, the City of Yokohama, Housing and Architecture Bureau, Minami Ward Office, and Yokohama City Housing Supply Corporation became the secretariat, and in March 2022, the Vision Study Group, which was organized mainly by organizations operating in housing complex, formulated the Minami Nagata housing complex Reconstruction Vision (housing complex Vision).

Overview of housing complex Vision
In order to connect the various activities currently being carried out in the region to the future and to continue their activities in cooperation with each other, we describe the future vision of housing complex, the current activities, and the thoughts contained in these activities. In addition, ideas for future activities that each group considers and ideas for cooperation between groups are also summarized as "hints for activities".

Efforts to Develop the housing complex Vision
December 2015 "Terakoya Minami" held (sponsored by the Nagataminamidai Union Neighborhood Association Ward Office and organized local issues through town walk workshops, etc.)
March 2016 Established "Nagataminamidai Town Development Steering Committee"
April 2016 For the first time, the event “Connection Festival” was held with an eye on future utilization of vacant stores.
January 2018 Established the NPO "Nagataminamidai Hot Sarai"
April 2019 Opening of "Salon Hot Sarai"
September 2021 Vision Review Meeting (1st)
January 2022 Vision Review Meeting (2nd meeting)
March 2022 Vision Review Meeting (3rd meeting) was held to formulate the housing complex Vision.
