When your animal (dog, cat, or other animal) is missing

When your dog has a bite accident
If a dog bites or hurts a person, the owner must notify Health and Welfare Center within 24 hours of the day it becomes known. In addition, the owner of the dog must have the dog examined by veterinarian within two days of the accident to assess the rabies.
When the animal you keep has died
If your animal dies and cannot handle it yourself, please contact the Resources and Waste Recycling Bureau Central Office (Tel: 045-621-6952). If you would like individual cremation, please consult Totsuka Saijo (Tel: 045-864-7001) or a private pet funeral company.
If your dog dies, please notify Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division that you have died. We also accept reports by telephone.

When you can't keep it
If you can no longer keep it for some reason, look for a new owner who will continue to keep it at the owner's responsibility. You can also consult with your veterinary clinic or animal welfare organization.
If you can't find a new owner, please consult with Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division in Address.
