About new influenza

The new influenza virus is a disease in which the influenza virus of animals, especially birds, infects humans and changes so that it can be transmitted efficiently from person to person. The disease caused by the infection of this virus is the new influenza. After the outbreak, it spreads to the world in a short period of time and is worried that it may cause serious illness.
Measures against pandemic influenza are an extension of normal influenza measures.
If you are infected with the flu and have symptoms, it is essential to rest at home, but if you have to go out, it is important to cover your mouth with a tissue or wear a mask when coughing or sneezing. Hands with coughing and sneezing, and hands with nose need to be washed immediately.
Based on the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's Action Plan for New Influenza, Yokohama City has established the Yokohama City New Influenza Countermeasures Council to formulate the Action Plan for New Influenza in Yokohama City and provide accurate information to citizens.
