The predecessor of the current Seya Ward Art Association was the Seya Ward Art Exhibition Executive Committee, which was established in 1999. In 2023, the Seya Ward Art Exhibition Executive Committee took over the Seya Ward Art Exhibition organized by Seya Ward from the fourth exhibition, and the 26th Seya Ward Art Exhibition was held.
With the opening of the Seya Kumin Cultural Center Hydrangea Plaza in 2022, it was reborn as the Seya Ward Art Association. In addition to continuing to hold the Seya Ward Art Exhibition, the Hydrangea Plaza Opening Memorial Exhibition was held at the opening of the Hydrangea Plaza, and in 2023 the first Seya Kids Exhibition, which mainly displays works by elementary school students from Seya Ward.

After visiting the 1st Seyakko Exhibition, which was held from October 31 to November 6, 2023, we interviewed Seya Ward Art Association members about their activities.

At the Seya Ward Art Exhibition held in summer, the works of elementary school students were also exhibited. However, when the venue was changed to Hydrangea Plaza, due to the convenience of the exhibition space, the Seya Ward Art Exhibition was held for works of junior high school students and above. Nevertheless, there was a desire to hold an exhibition of children's paintings, and we decided to hold it by receiving requests from people around us, and there were many twists and turns, but somehow we managed to hold the first Seyakko Exhibition. Was.
In collecting the works, we explained at the elementary school principal's meeting, handed out documents, and had them picked up in town news.
When I first talked about the project, few elementary school teachers and parents had a specific image of the exhibition, and "Pictures will be posted on bulletin boards such as schools." I think you had an image, but I would be glad if you could see this first exhibition and understand that children's paintings are treated as one work. The fact that there was a place for children to present, and that this Seya kid exhibition was held, which can be shown in the form of "When you make a work, adults decorate it properly." I feel very significant. Based on this experience and reflection, I would like to consider how to develop it in the future and nurture it into an exhibition that will make the work even more proud of being exhibited.

When I was in elementary school, it was a time when I was able to absorb anything more and more by drawing and creating things. However, some school teachers seem to be worried that they are not able to confidently create classes that can pull out the inner and what they want to say as works. Therefore, by developing local art, we are working with the desire to support children to empower them to create things. When praised by adults, children can be confident that this is fine and understand the fun of drawing. We hope that children will feel closer to art, and we hope that your family will visit the Seyakko Exhibition and have a good opportunity to come into contact with various arts, including children's works. .

There are no awards for both Setani Kids Exhibition and Seya Ward Art Exhibition. The awarding is to give recognition, but the Seya Ward Art Exhibition is an open place to accept the works of people who want to do interesting things and want to exhibit such things. I believe that having fun and sharing fun together will help you learn about the fun of creating, learn the fun of seeing around you, and encourage you to take the next step. Don't dare to give a prize, respect the sensibilities of people who drew pictures and those who took pictures, and display various works to spread as an art exhibition. In the future, I would like to work with Hydrangea Plaza to create a place where we can challenge even more new things.

Through the activities of the Seya Ward Art Association, I hope to make Seya Ward a city rich in cultural arts.
At present, Japan as a whole is declining birthrate and aging, but there is no exception to art organizations and art exhibitions. Even so, we hope to expand the base of cultural activities in Seya Ward.
In recent years, new forms of art have been increasing. For example, some people use a personal computer to express it with CG. When exhibiting the work, we still have to explore whether the printout is good, the projection over the monitor, and who prepares the equipment.
In addition, we all work as volunteers and do not have public relations officers, so everyone is working as advertising towers for publicity. Therefore, about public information part, I would like you to work with the government by all means. In addition, I would like to cooperate with Hydrangea Plaza to make efforts to understand the events being held.
We hope to further enhance the events where art and art that change with the times can be exhibited, with the support of the government, in cooperation with the Seya Ward Art Association and Hydrangea Plaza.

Thank you very much for today. The children's paintings had the fun of never becoming the same on the same theme, and I felt individuality. Especially when I looked at the pictures of the lower grades, I saw a smile that the expression of playing with the paint was perfect, and I was sure to draw my hands happily and hard with paint.
Actually, I was not good at deciding on a theme and drawing on my own, but it was better to listen to everyone's story, draw what I liked, and add a theme to the one I drew later. Now I understand.
Whether you want to hit the gate of art as an adult, to have the means of art as one of your expressions from a young age, and to have a place to present your expressions, everything is the pleasure of art. I think it is, so I would like to continue to use my help in creating opportunities and creating places. The ward office will also work with the Hydrangea Plaza to consider ways to convey "what you are doing" and "what you can enjoy" in an easy-to-understand manner.
