The 50th anniversary of Seya Ward System held in February 2019 "Shining! Seya! Man! In February 2019, immediately after the festival was held, the Executive Committee of the “Music Town SEYA” was established with the aim of creating a lively atmosphere with music, led by volunteers of the Harureya chorus of the festival and Seya folk tale chorus.
In December 2019, the Executive Committee of the “Song Music Town SEYA” held the “Ninth Memorial Concert” to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Seya constituency system. There were many people who sang the ninth for the first time and those who were new to the chorus themselves. The chorus of "inhabitant participation type" was a great success by practicing together.
In March 2022, the name of the organization was changed to the Seya Ward Music Association, and with the aim of contributing to the improvement of culture and art in Seya Ward through music, concerts by members of the Music Association and inviting musicians. At the Family Concert in December 2024, she performed songs and musicals by many generations at Seya public hall to promote international exchange with the keyword of multiculturalism.

After watching a video introducing past activities created by the Music Association, we spoke with members of the Seya Ward Music Association about their activities.

Shortly after the establishment of the group, the Ninth Memorial Concert was also successful, and I was enthusiastic about the future, and it was COVID-19 pandemic. At the time of the COVID-19 pandemic, there were many difficulties, such as not being able to rent a hall, holding concerts, etc., or recruiting members.
Some members are teaching the chorus club of the school, but even at school, it seemed like "Singing facing the back wall", and it was said that it was dangerous at school because the saliva flew, and the number of members was greatly reduced . Children who grew up in an environment where singing is a bit dangerous since elementary school do not want to join the chorus club. I like songs, but it has become "but" and its influence still remains.
The Music Association has worked hard to maintain the connection of members and continue activities even during the COVID-19 pandemic. One of them is the use of digital technology. Now, almost all members can do "LINE", and even members over the age of 80 send "Be careful this time" or "Change at what time" on LINE, "I understand." I became more familiar with digital, such as receiving a reply.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the first challenge was the inhabitant musical.
Performers from a wide range of age groups are required for "Sound of Music" performance in October 2022, so we recruited adults and children.
At first, I was worried that the children would come, but the children also gathered and have been working all the time.
Looking at the lively children, the elderly seem to be energetic, giving snacks, chatting, and having a very good relationship with their grandchildren. It may be close to a relative's relationship.
The children have moved or transferred to another school, and have been replaced in the past two or three years, but they will come when there is the next concert etc. . There are elementary school studenｔ Choir for children, male and female choir for adults, but there are not many activities of all ages together. In addition, unlike school, large children take care of small children properly, but children of different ages are also touching each other. There are not many places where you can do that.
The musical performance itself was also a great success, but I'm very happy that everyone seems to be looking forward to it as a place to enjoy musicals and operas in a wide range of ages.

As a new attempt, we are also starting to sing songs and move the body to prevent the elderly from frail. Currently, we are also creating original sound sources that allow you to move your body while sitting while singing various songs. Many videos posted on YouTube are fast or difficult to sing, but those who listened to the songs we created say, "I can sing with this pitch or tempo."
If you do not have the opportunity to utter, your swallowing function will decline and you will be more likely to develop aspiration pneumonia, but vocalization and gymnastics will also change when you do it every month. People who play the piano well are said to be good because the right and left fingers move respectively, but it is impossible to say "let's do it" regardless of those who have been playing all the time. I think it is necessary to enter from exercise such as moving the body so that the function of the body does not decline even a little, so I would like to help with that.
However, women are more likely to participate, but male participation does not increase easily.

As a music association, I am thinking about what kind of help I can do.
I think art and music are entertainment, so I would like not only to make our own presentations, but also to have visitors enjoy it.
Now, even one drone show has become a comprehensive entertainment of music, drones, and laser beams. If specific information comes out in the future, it would be interesting to connect with various organizations, such as various music groups deciding on themes for about 5 minutes and doing something for events at GREEN × EXPO 2027 etc. Isn't it?
I feel that the popularity of Seya Ward and GREEN x EXPO 2027 is still low. I have publicized GREEN x EXPO 2027 at meetings outside the city, but the existence and venue of GREEN x EXPO 2027 are unknown. Many people don't even know the location of Seya Ward. I would like to work with an idea that surprises visitors to make Seya Ward more appealing.

From those who participated in the “Ninth Memorial Concert 2019” commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Seya Ward System in 2019, I heard that it was very memorable to practice and present at the busy time. I am grateful for creating a place to realize dreams that are difficult to realize alone.
When I first heard about the 2022 "Kumin Musical Sound of Music", I was worried that there were members of a wide range of age groups required for the play, and that even though children were used to playing the same age and role, I was not used to playing with many generations.
However, I actually saw it, and in the last photo shoot, I saw the children posing in front of the camera in a way that was friendly with the elderly, and the time I worked together created a good relationship I felt that it was.
It is said that you started activities to keep your body moving and functioning while singing for the elderly, but I think it would be good to talk to each care plaza about "I want to put this kind of thing into day service (elderly day care)'s recreation."
Also, when the Seya Kumin Cultural Center "hydrangea plaza" opened, it was COVID-19, so it was no longer possible to hold events etc. when trying to excite them in the future, but in a place close to Seya Station, There are galleries and halls, so I think it would be nice to do various things in the future. For example, when I'm doing something related to flowers in a gallery, I think there are many possibilities, such as doing music with the same theme together. To make people come naturally, "I'm doing this too. I'm doing that kind of thing. "I would like to publicize in various places and cooperate not only with the hydrangea plaza but also with the district centers in each district, the public hall and the wards along the Sotetsu line, etc. . I would be happy if we could not only enjoy music, but also foster the momentum of GREEN x EXPO 2027 in collaboration with various organizations.
