In City Counsil, there are regular meetings that are convened regularly and extraordinary meetings that are convened only when necessary.
In City Counsil, regular meetings are usually convened in February, May, September, and November. It is the authority of the mayor to convene regular and extraordinary meetings, but if the chair requests a convocation after a resolution of the City Counsil Steering Committee or if there is a request from more than a quarter of the member of the Diet The mayor must convene an extraordinary meeting.
