Distribution of disinfectants in sanitary measures during floods

About hygiene measures at the time of flood damage
If the road surface is flooded due to heavy rain, etc., the sewer may flow backward. If the house is flooded with the road surface being flooded, disinfection may be required because sewage may be mixed into rainwater from the sewer.
Tozuka Health and Welfare Center provides advice on the necessity of disinfection in case of flooding and appropriate disinfection methods.
- In some cases, such as when only rainwater is flooded, washing with tap water alone may be sufficient.
- When disinfecting, wash the area thoroughly in advance and remove dirt. Only after washing, the effect of the disinfectant will not be fully demonstrated.
- Disinfectants should be purchased at your local pharmacy. Please refer to "Yokohama-shi epidemic prevention measures representative communication pharmacy (Yokohama-shi pharmacist society)" about cooperation pharmacies which we can purchase.
