■In Tsurumi Ward, together with doctors, pharmacists and city officials in the event of a disaster, we are looking for nurses to carry out medical rescue activities in refuge and other areas.

It is a nursing profession working as a "medical rescue squad" based on disaster preparedness plan, Yokohama City, together with pre-registered doctors, pharmacists, and city officials in the event of a disaster such as the Great East Japan Earthquake. Activities include emergency medical care mainly for mildly ill patients in refuge and other places in the city.

Qualified public health nurses, midwives, nurses, and associate nurses who live or work in Yokohama City, who can provide support activities at evacuation shelter (designated elementary and junior high schools) in each ward of Yokohama City in the event of a disaster. (However, in principle, those who are supposed to attend the workplace in the event of a disaster, such as working at a hospital, are excluded.)
