Tsurumi Ward's efforts toward GREEN x EXPO 2027

On March 19, 2025, just two years before GREEN x EXPO 2027 was held.
In the wake of this, we will hold a project "TSURUMI GO GREEN" with the residents of the city to think about the environment and a sustainable society while touching flowers and greenery.
On March 20 (Thursday / holiday), a hands-on event will be held at JR Tsurumi Station East Exit Station Square to experience flowers and greenery, and exhibitions will be held at Tsurumi Library and Kumin Hall.
In addition, during this period, the East-West Freeway at Tsurumi Station will be transformed into a bright and gorgeous space full of flowers and greenery.
All of them are projects that can be enjoyed by children and adults, so please drop in!

A special photo spot for this day only appears in the center of the square!
A large 4-meter-square landscaping work that combines scenery that makes use of nature and Tungkutunk is hard to see elsewhere, so please take a picture and enjoy it.

Dango made by kneading soil will be created with seeds and fertilizers, and the completed "Tane Dango® *" will be presented.
※Tane Dango® is a new seed-maki method promoted by the Japan Home Horticultural Promotion Association.

On the day of the event, with the cooperation of volunteers, we will replant the flower bed in front of the station. Please take a look at how the flower bed is completed!

The Yokohama Plan 5.3 aims to reduce the amount of plastic waste contained in burnable garbage by 5.3 kg per citizen.
Here you can experience the amount of plastic waste while having fun through a game of applying 530g plastic products, which weighs 1/10 of 5.3kg.♪
There may be nice prizes for those who are perfect!
About the Yokohama Pra 5.3 Plan

On the day, wakkun will come to play from 11:30 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 14:30!

GREEN x EXPO 2027 celebrated its 1000 days before the event on Saturday, June 22, 2024.
To commemorate the 1,000 days before the event, Tsurumi Ward distributed flower seeds designed by wakkun at events around Tsurumi Station and publicized them.

Unfortunately, the weather was unfortunate on the day, but we publicized GREEN x EXPO2027 to many people, from children to adults.

The children were delighted with the appearance of wakkun!

We were able to publicize to many people participating in events in the shopping street!

In addition, there were many questions about access to the venue from Tsurumi, indicating the high interest in GREEN × EXPO 2027.

We decorated the countdown board in common to 18 wards.♪
The space on the first floor of the ward office is also changing the decoration little by little, so please take a look when you come to the agency.

To foster momentum for GREEN xEXPO 2027, we have set up a "wakkun Flowerbed" next to East Exit "Koban" (police box) at Tsurumi Station.

To commemorate the 1,000 days before the event, replanted and renewed according to the season. Please come and see it!
