About evacuation shelter Training

In Yokohama City, elementary and junior high schools are designated as evacuation shelter as evacuation sites during the earthquake.
There are 27 bases in Tsuzuki Ward  , and the Steering Committee of each site plays a leading role in conducting the evacuation shelter Training Program.
We invite you to join us as an opportunity to confirm the points when evacuating to refuge (evacuation shelter).
In addition, please take this opportunity to check stockpiling at each home such as emergency carry-out bags, and prevent furniture from falling or falling.
In order to minimize the damage caused by the earthquake, it is said that it is important for residents, communities, and governments to enhance disaster response capabilities and cooperate. .
In order to protect yourself and your family from disasters, it is important for each person to prepare in advance and make decisions and actions in the event of a disaster.
In addition, local communication is important on a daily basis for helping neighbors and for the evacuation shelter to function sufficiently.
In the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in January 1995 and the Niigata Chuetsu-oki Earthquake in July 2007, many people were rescued from houses that collapsed with the help of neighbors.
In order to prepare for disasters, the Yokohama City Hall and the Tsuzuki Ward   Office will further expand these efforts to improve disaster prevention capabilities.
